Project Overview

CJS Conveyance provided construction observation services for the Town of Cary Walker Street Improvements project. The project consisted of improvements to the roadway, sidewalk, traffic signals, and utilities in the heart of downtown Cary. A major component of the project consisted of upgrades to the water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems. A 16-inch DIP water main replaced the existing smaller cast-iron water line and sanitary sewer mains were rehabilitated and replaced. The undersized storm drainage pipes were replaced with 24- to 36-inch RCP in single pipe and double barrel configurations. Dry utilities were also relocated to facilitate these enhancements.

This project was designed and permitted by the Town. CJS was tasked with providing construction observation services in conjunction with the Town’s staff. The project is a vital part of the Town’s on-going improvements to their downtown area. In a collaborative effort, working closely with the Town project manager and Town inspector, our team was able to assist in making this project a success.
